"Everyone Has a Plan Till They get Punched in The Face" Claude Patrick Battles American Dave Mazany

ImageMMACanada.net catches up with one of Ontario's own Claude Patrick, residing in Mississauga Ontario.  Patrick will go head to head with Alasak's Dave Mazany in the co-main event of "The Fight Club" TFC's Edmonton show this Friday.  Patrick holds the Canadian welterweight championship in Edmonton but the title will not be on the line as he faces American-born Mazany.

Claude Patrick believes his training camp for this fight is as good as it gets. " I wont go into specifics as to what I have been doing for the fight as everyone always says the same silly thing "ohh this is the best camp of my life I have never been in better shape" but have been doing my training in preperation in Mississauga at www.elitecenter.tv and www.mindtomuscle.com, in Toronto at www.torontobjj.com and at www.irontigermuaythai.com" explains Patrick to MMACanada.net

Dave Mazany, born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska will be in hostile territory while stepping into the cage to fight one of Canada's rising talents. "Truth be told, im not really thinking to much on the nationality of the opponent. Everyone is an individual so its hard to generalize skills now based on where they are from..I dont think I have ever met anyone form Alaska before so its cool to be fighting one." states Patrick to MMACanada.net.
    
Claude Patrick's performances in the ring/cage have showed true well-rounded abilities, anywhere the fight goes, Patrick is ready and waiting. "Mike Tyson said it best "everyone has a plan till they get punched in the face" I watched a few fights of his to get a general idea of whats what but every moment in a fight is different so im just pushing myself and improving my skills without too much thought on an forcing any particular scenario.. as always ill be ready for whatever so when I catch that punch in the face no plans will go to shit :)" proclaims Patrick.  

Claude is always improving, despite an injury sustained a year ago, he bounced back into competition and has been on a steady roll as of late.  We ask Claude where he feels he is improving in the gym and he responds " I always try to build on my individual skills but watching fights ive always noticed a large number of athletes were not particularly talented but just in great shape so I have been building my physical skills with the team over at www.mindtomuscle.com and seeing great results"

Dave Mazany in his previous bouts have showed some good ground control.  He has been named a "All-around fighter". Claude Patrick knows this, and prepares for all scenario's. "Other than studying his fights. I know that he trains out of a Barra Gracie affiliate so I certainly respect the pedigree of his ground work and mixed martial arts skills so im looking forward to the match.
