ImageWarrior One MMA (W-1) released the news with MMACanada.net today about its signing with Adam Reid as Official Fight Correspondent. Warrior One MMA (W-1) has signed sought after Canadian actor, television host and sports analyst Adam Reid as W-1’s official Fight Correspondent.

Adam will provide ringside commentary and be the official host for all fight weekend activities including; official weigh ins, press conferences and official after parties.  In addition, Adam will be the new host of MMA Unplugged, a behind the scenes look at the life of a W-1 fighter.

Adam Reid spoke with MMACanada.net and provided us this official statement:

"Most of the roots in MMA did start through mmacanada.net, about 2 years ago, I covered the first-ever UFC press conference in Montreal on our behalf. Since then, I got really excited about this, I never knew what MMA was all about until that day with GSP and Matt Serra.  Our work got on the official UFC website.  I come from a versatile background being an actor.  Worked on all major platforms in Quebec and Canada.  I felt MMA was the perfect venue to be associated with, because the sport is completely dominating in size and potential. I had a chance to work on the Quebec scene, with leagues that have significance in the area.  I never quite worked under the structure I wanted, I wanted to be associated with all facets of media, post fight, press conf, weigh in, blog, hosting after parties etc.  and last but not least host a show (but not revealing yet).  W-1 and Adam Reid is a partnership, not just a hire or an "employee", it's a partnership where I can use all my skills. It's encouraging to me, of course lots of great exposure and to see how big W-1 is becoming."

It's been awhile coming and they approached me through a mutual partner Mark Fowles.  They gave me what I wanted which was an exclusivity contract. Exclusivity is the way to go, It allows me to focus and put all my time into one organization. I wanted to work with W-1 for a long time. 2010 is going to be a big year for W1.  The fight card in March will be a big event.  You'll see me everywhere and it will be very exciting.  This is a wonderful move for my career, and finally an opportunity to showcase my skill level and what im all about. MMACanada.net and its Canadian fan base have been supportive.  Be sure to check out all the coverage and behind-the-scenes footage of W-1 first on mmacanada.net"

" Im also very pleased to be working with JAKT apparel as they were one of the first MMA brands to step up and I believe reflect my sometimes harsh personality and questions" laughed Reid
A native of Montreal, Quebec Canada, Adam Reid’s versatile and outgoing personality along with his extensive knowledge of sports, specifically mixed martial arts make him a great asset to the W-1 media team.  Never afraid to ask the tough questions and always prepared to support his point of view, Adam brings a positive energy and educated approach to promoting W-1 and MMA.
