ImageDean Panas - When people talk about TFC welterweights, the first two names that come to mind are Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford and Claude “Prince” Patrick. After TFC 9 Total Chaos there may be a third name that is in the fore front of peoples minds.

Jordan Mckay is looking to make a statement when he returns to the TFC cage to face Ritchie Hightower. Hightower had a cup of coffee with the UFC appearing on season 6 of The Ultimate Fighter. Facing a UFC vet may seem like a big task for a fighter with only five fights under his belt, but Mckay is more than ready to face the challenge and is very confident; “To be honest I don't really think about it. I'm happy that The Fight Club set this fight up for me and is bringing a UFC vet for me to fight. It will be a good win for me but I am not underestimating him at all and he will have his work cut out for him on Dec 5th!”

Hightower may have the advantage when it comes to experience and fighting in the spotlight, but Mckay gets the nod when it comes to having the ability to scout his opponent. “I think Ritchie brings some things to the table that can make him a dangerous fighter. I have got to watch some of his fight's and actually have the Ultimate Fighter season he was on so that's more footage to watch on him. I hope he comes in shape and is ready for a war.”

The Fight Club signed Mckay to an exclusive contract back in July and the plan was to have him fight on TFC 8 in September. Jordan was unable to appear on the show due to injury but he is 100% and ready to bring it for the Edmonton fans at TFC 9. “My camp for this fight is going great. My weight is perfect and my body is reacting better than ever. I hope to put on a great show and give the fan's something to remember. I will fight with all my heart and have no doubt I will have my hand raised when it's over.”

Mckay is a very focused and motivated fighter. He has great respect for his teammates and the people he faces in the cage. In closing he wanted the chance to thank the people who help him in and out of the cage; he also has one very important goal. “Thank you to my coaches', my team, my family, and TFC for all the help and support. One fight at a time but I want that BELT!!”
